January 2024: Kou is a forty-three-year-old subsistence farmer living with her seven children.   Her older children help out with the farming activities after school.  Kou said they are old enough to take on more responsibilities and she wants to expand her farming enterprise.  She requested (and was granted) a farming supplies package.
