January 2024: Kou is a sixty eight year old grandmother struggling to provide for her eight extended family members; mostly of which are her grandchildren.  Kou farms rice and desires to also grow cassava and okra.  Her grandchildren help her on the farm when they are not in school, and the additional income will help Kou continue to support her grandchildren’s school fees and supplies.
