This year, we were unable to meet with Joseph during school registration, as they were either out of town, sick, or facing circumstances that prevented them from attending. Even so, their school fees were paid, and all of their school materials were given to the school staff to ensure they receive everything as soon as they return. Because the student was not present on registration day, we were unable to take an updated photo for 2025. Josephine is 13 years old and is in the first grade this year. Four years ago, her father left their family to go to Guinea in search of a better opportunity, but since then, they haven’t heard from him. Josephine lives with her mother and five siblings. Her mother struggles to support the family, as she is the sole provider, and the challenges are overwhelming at times. Despite these difficulties, Josephine remains determined and hopeful. She is committed to her education and dreams of a brighter future. Although things are tough, she always helps her mother when she can and stays focused on her studies.
