ESTHER: S1089-GBA

Esther is now 9 years old and has been promoted to the 1st grade this year. She is growing into a confident and curious young student, and we are so proud of her progress. Her favorite subject is reading, and she loves learning new words and stories. Her teacher describes her as very active in class. Esther asks many questions, showing her eagerness to understand her lessons, and she is always willing to help classmates who may be struggling. Her kindness and enthusiasm make her a joy to have in the classroom. At home, Esther continues to help her family in meaningful ways. After school, she goes to the creek to fetch water so her family can bathe in the evening. Even with these responsibilities, she remains committed to her studies and determined to succeed. Esther still lives with her single mother and siblings, and life remains challenging. Yet her dream of becoming a nurse one day continues to motivate her. Esther is 8 years old and currently in Kindergarten-2. She lives with her unemployed single mother, who is raising seven children on her own. Despite their difficult circumstances, Esther has big dreams of becoming a nurse when she grows up. Her passion for learning is evident, and she is thrilled to have the opportunity to attend school this year, even as her family faces many challenges.
