Ten-year-old Charles lives in Flowin with his big brother and five extended family members.  Charles is in the third grade and wants to be a driver one day.  His mother and father left Charles and his three siblings with “family” in Flowin and they went to the neighboring country of Guinea to “hustle for work” to care for their family.  They have not been heard from since they left and Charles’ brother took, he and his three siblings into his household.  With his own children to provide for, Charles’ brother needed help to sustain Charles in school.  Charles is thankful for the gift of a scholarship.
