Beauty has been promoted to the 1st grade and continues to have a deep love for reading. However, her time for reading is limited, as she is often busy helping with the chores and cleaning at home. After school, she also has to fetch water from the creek to bring home so her family can cook. Despite her busy schedule, Beauty’s determination to balance her responsibilities while pursuing her education is truly inspiring. Sponsored by: Scott Heise

Beauty lives in Boapea, Liberia with her parents and five siblings. She is seven years old and wants to go to school. As is the case with many rural families, income from subsistence farming was not adequate to provide much beyond the basics for living:  food and shelter. Adequate clothing is a luxury, and the gift of education is sometimes unattainable. Thanks to GPA amazing support network for making the seemingly unattainable attainable.
