Alberta: S725-SOP

Nine-year-old Alberta lives in Sopea, Liberia with her subsistence farming parents and four siblings.  Subsistence farming has been a generational, poverty driven vocation for families like Alberta’s whose parents have no formal education.  Their prayer is that with this scholarship support, Alberta will be the first in their family to break the generational cycle of poverty.  Alberta wants to be a seamstress when she grows up.  With the eyes of faith, perhaps Alberta will establish and own a chain of tailor shops.  Alberta is in kindergarten-2, and she loves helping her mother with household chores.
