June 2022:  Thirty-eight-year-old Yah is a widow living with her five children in
Gbeleyee, Nimba County.  Yah’s husband died from a “stomach complaint” and
she is solely responsible for the welfare of her children and an aging mother-in-
law. Yah explained she did not have time to “cry” (grieve) when her husband died
because she was too preoccupied with the urgency of providing for the children. 
Yah is happy for the gift of a farming supplies Empowerment Package. A donation
from the Girl Power Africa General Fund has given Yah and her family a hand
up.
