November 2025:  Winifred is a 38-year-old divorced mother of three whose life has been marked by perseverance and faith. When her name was called for empowerment by Grow Power Africa, she exclaimed, “God can really answer prayers!” She had been hoping for this opportunity for a long time and was overjoyed and grateful to finally receive it. Winifred dropped out of school at the age of 12 to help on her family’s farm, and she has always worked hard to provide for her children. With the support of Grow Power Africa, she received the farming tools she needed and was placed in a team of women in her area. Together, they farm collectively, share the labor, sell their produce, and use the income to support their families. Winifred is deeply grateful for this opportunity. She hopes that her children will have the chance to complete their education and never have to drop out of school to help her on the farm. Through the empowerment and teamwork provided by Grow Power Africa, Winifred can now provide food for her children and work toward giving them a brighter future.
