Vera is a 34-year-old widowed mother of 5 children who lives in Sannequillie, Liberia with an 11th grade education. Her children are ages 18, 15, 13, 12, and 5 years. Vera and her husband used to make coal for living. However, since the death of her husband a few years ago, she alone is unable to produce coal due to the labor intensiveness. Thanks to the generous donation from the Cambridge 4H Club, Vera will be selling char-coal in the local market to help support her family. Thank you Cambridge 4H Club for giving Vera a hand up.
