November 2025:  Susanna is a 45-year-old divorced mother of five, whose journey has been marked by resilience and a deep commitment to her family. About four years ago, Susanna and her husband parted ways, and since then, she has faced the immense challenge of managing the farm on her own. The labor-intensive nature of farming made it difficult for her to keep up, and over the past year, her farming efforts have significantly dwindled. In her quest for support, Susanna reached out to Girl Power Africa. With their assistance, she received the essential farming tools needed to get back on her feet. More importantly, Susanna was connected with a team of women in her town, allowing them to work together, share the labor, and collectively cultivate the land. This collaboration has been transformative for Susanna. Not only does it help her put food on the table for her children, but it also enables her to contribute to the well-being of the older members of her village, ensuring that everyone has access to fresh, nourishing food. Susanna is deeply grateful for the empowerment and the opportunity to rebuild her life.
