RECIPIENT: Sennie – Age 54

Sennie is a 54-year-old widowed mother of 5 children who lives in Sannequillie, Liberia and has never been to school.  Sennie’s husband passed away in 2015 leaving her with 5 children under the ages of 15.  Although Sennie doesn’t speak English, with tears in her eyes, she told Girl Power Africa (in the Mano dialect): “We don’t have food to eat. We just suffering. Please help us. Please”.   Thanks to the generous donation from the Italian-American Women’s Club, Sennie will be selling food in the local market to help support her family. Thank you for giving Sennie a hand up.
