November 2025:  Patience is a 32-year-old divorced mother of three or four children who has faced life’s challenges with courage and determination. Recently, her husband left, and she has been solely responsible for providing for her children. As she put it, she and her children have just been struggling. Patience came to Girl Power Africa seeking an opportunity to get back on her feet. She hoped for farming materials so she could return to what she and her husband used to do—farming. More than that, she was excited about the chance to be assigned to a team, where together with other women, they could work a larger farm, share responsibilities, sell their produce collectively, and build a sense of community and collaboration. Patience is extremely grateful for the opportunity to be part of a team, to farm collectively, and to generate income to support her family. She dreams of being able to send her children to school, something she has never had the opportunity to do herself.
