November 2025:  Neomie is a 35-year-old widow and mother of two children. Tragically, after the birth of her second child, her husband went out to celebrate and, unfortunately, passed away in his sleep after drinking too much. Since that time, Neomie has faced immense challenges trying to provide for her family. Farming has always been her skill, but managing it alone is incredibly difficult. Neomie came to Girl Power Africa seeking help, hoping for farming materials and the chance to work with a team of women. Through the program, she was empowered with the tools she needed and placed into a supportive team that farms together, shares labor, and helps one another succeed. Neomie has never attended school, but her greatest hope is to give her children the education she never had, so they can have opportunities for a brighter future. She is deeply grateful for this chance to rebuild her life, care for her children, and work alongside other women as a team.
