MEKERMIE: E644-GBO

January 2024: Forty-six-year-old Mekermie struggles with being in a neglectful, polygamous relationship.  Mekermie is one of three wives.  She and her four children live in a very large extended family household with her husband.  Her husband does not have the resources to care for his entire household of wives and children, so he neglects the older wife (Mekermie) while focusing on supporting the younger ones.  Mekermie is determined to provide for herself and her children, so she engages in subsistence farming.  She wants to expand her farm so she can pay for her children’s school fees.  GPA donated Mekermie a farming supplies package.
