November 2025:  Martha is a 70-year-old widow whose life has been filled with love, resilience, and dedication to her family. She is raising seven of her grandchildren, providing them with care and companionship after the passing of her husband. Over the years, Martha and her husband worked the land together, but now, without the strength or the necessary farming materials, continuing the work alone has become a challenge. In her quest to provide for her family, Martha turned to Girl Power Africa. With their support, she received the farming materials she needed and was placed in a team of dedicated women. Together, they work the land, share the labor, and cultivate produce that helps put food on the table for Martha and her grandchildren. Martha is immensely grateful for this opportunity. Through the collective effort of her team, she can once again nurture the land and create a stable environment for her grandchildren. Her greatest hope is that, with the income from farming, she can ensure her grandchildren have the chance to go to school and build a brighter future.
