RECIPIENT: Martha – Age 59

Martha is a 59-year-old single mother of 4 children who lives in Sannequillie, Liberia and has never been to school. Her children are ages 12, 10, 7 and 5 years.  Martha said that she has been very unfortunate with men. She told the Girl Power Africa team “when I meet a man who say he want to marry me and I have a baby for him, he will leave me. For that reason, I have 4 children with 3 men.  Thanks to the generous donation from the Cambridge 4H Club, Martha will be selling char-coal in the local market to help support her family.
