LORINA:E1047-MAO

November 2025: Lorina is a 34-year-old single mother of three children, whose life has been deeply rooted in farming. Growing up, Lorina and her family relied on the land to survive, and her children have always worked alongside her in the fields. Unfortunately, none of her children have had the chance to attend school, and Lorina dreams of giving them the opportunities she never had. In her pursuit of a brighter future, Lorina turned to Girl Power Africa for support. With the help of the organization, she received the farming tools she needed to establish her own farm on the family’s land. In addition, Lorina was placed in a team of other women, working collectively to farm, share the labor, and sell their produce together. This opportunity has brought immense gratitude and hope to Lorina. Not only can she now provide for her family, but she can also work towards sending her children to school, ensuring they have the education and opportunities she always dreamed of. Lorina’s journey is a beautiful testament to the power of community, empowerment, and the hope for a brighter future. She is deeply grateful for the support that allows her to give her children the life she never had.
