Kou is a 23 years old mother of 2 children (ages 6 and 5 years). Kou told Girl Power Africa that she has never been to school. Kou lost her mother at the age of 16 years. Soon after the death of her mother, Kou moved in with her grandfather (her #1 fan). Unfortunately, her grandfather died during the Ebola epidemic in Liberia where all illnesses in the country at the time were treated as Ebola death. She was left to fend for herself. She had come to Girl Power for assistance to help sustain she and her children. Thanks for the generous donation from Jessica Reed, Kou will be starting her own business of selling fresh organic palm wine, to help sustain she and her children.
