JOSEPHINE:E1059-BOA

November 2025: Josephine is a 28-year-old mother of two whose journey has been shaped by determination and a desire to create a better life for her children. She started out making soap on a very small scale in her town, but the business did not generate enough profit to sustain her family. Josephine knew she wanted to farm, as her family owns land, but she lacked the tools and resources to start on her own. Through Girl Power Africa, Josephine was empowered with the farming tools she needed and placed in a team of women. Together, they farm collectively, share the labor, sell their produce, and divide the proceeds to support their families. Josephine has never completed school; she dropped out in the fourth grade because her family could not afford to send her further. Education is something she values deeply, and she is determined to give her children the opportunities she never had. She is extremely grateful for the chance to farm, provide for her family, and work toward sending her children to school.
