November 2025:  Helena is a 45-year-old single mother of three, who has also taken in three of her siblings’ children, caring for six children in total. Helena has always dreamed of farming for herself, but without her own tools, she could only help others weed their farms. Through Grow Power Africa, Helena was empowered with her own set of farming tools and placed in a team of women. Together, they work the land, farm collectively, sell their produce, and share the proceeds to support their families. Helena has never had the opportunity to go to school, and her greatest hope is to provide her children with the education she never received. She is deeply grateful for this opportunity, which allows her to put food on the table, support her family, and work toward a brighter future for her children.
