November 2025:  Florence is a 30-year-old single mother with one child, whose life has been rooted in farming since childhood. She grew up working alongside her parents on their farm and has never had the opportunity to attend school. When she moved out on her own and had her baby, life became even more challenging. Affording basic food for herself and her child, let alone farming tools and materials, was a constant struggle. Florence turned to Girl Power Africa for assistance. Through the program, she received the farming tools she needed and was placed on a team of women. Together, they cultivate a larger farm, share the labor, sell the produce collectively, and divide the proceeds to support their families. Florence is extremely grateful for this opportunity. With the support of Girl Power Africa and her team, she is now able to provide for her child, continue her family’s farming legacy, and work towards a brighter future.
