November 2025:  Elecia is a single mother of three whose story is rooted in perseverance, humility, and hope for a better tomorrow. For many years, Elecia dreamed of becoming a farmer. Although her family owns a small piece of land, she never had the opportunity to access the tools and materials needed to farm it herself. Instead, she supported her children by working on other people’s farms, helping wherever she could in order to earn enough to survive. Elecia came to Girl Power Africa seeking assistance so she could finally begin farming on her own land. With the support she received, she has now been provided with the farming materials needed to start her own farm—turning a long-held dream into reality. Elecia has never had the chance to attend school, and her immediate motivation is simple but powerful: to put food on the table for herself and her children. She also holds hope that, in time, she will be able to send her children to school and give them opportunities she never had. Elecia is extremely grateful for the empowerment she has received and is committed to working hard to provide stability for her family.
