EDITH SAYE: E317-SAN

Edith is a 44-year-old widowed mother of 6 children who lives in Sannequillie, Liberia and has never been to school. Her husband was the financial provider for the family until 18 months ago when he died from a brief illness.  After the death of her husband, she started selling bread and sending the children to school. But about 9 months ago, one of her daughters got seriously sick and she used all of her business savings for her daughter’s medical treatment. Since then, she has not been able to afford to re-start her business and send the kids to school. This year, the children are not going to school due to lack of funds.  Thanks to the generous donation from Frederick & Bulleh, Edith will be selling in the local market to help support her family.
