January 2024: Dorris is a thirty six year old widow providing for her seven children through subsistence farming. Dorris and her husband farmed to provide for their growing family but her husband died less than a year ago.  Dorris could not even afford to grieve as she jumped to the daunting responsibility of taking care of her family.  The teenage children must juggle school work and helping out with the farm work.
