DORIS: E563-BEA

January 2024: Forty-two-year-old Dorris is a single mother raising seven children.  She sells palm nuts in the local market and also makes a large garden to provide for her family.  She wanted to expand her gardening to include more acreage and work it full time.  GPA assisted Dorris with a farming supplies package to enable her to have more tools and supplies.  With more tools, she can barter with farmers who are willing to give her a few hours of weekly labor on her farm in exchange for using her tools on their farm.  A win-win situation for struggling subsistence farmers.
