CYNTHIA:E1075-BOA

November 2025:  Cynthia is a 48-year-old widowed mother of five. For many years, her husband had been ill, and Cynthia served as his primary caregiver while also doing whatever work she could to support her family. She would help others by clearing and cleaning their farms, earning as little as fifty cents to one dollar per day—just enough to survive. After her husband passed away, Cynthia shared that she was not in the right state, physically or emotionally, to return to that kind of labor. With no tools of her own and no steady support, she struggled to find a way forward. That is when she came to Girl Power Africa, hoping for an opportunity to start again. Through Girl Power Africa, Cynthia was empowered with her own farming materials and connected with a group of women who work together as a team. By sharing the labor and farming collectively, Cynthia now has the strength and support she needs to rebuild her life and provide for her children. Cynthia is extremely grateful for the hand up she has been given and thanks Girl Power Africa and all the sponsors and supporters who are helping women like her get back on their feet and move forward with dignity and hope.
