November 2025:  Comfort is a 42-year-old widow and mother of four children. She and her husband had been corn farmers, working together to provide for their family. A few years ago, her husband passed away suddenly, and since then, Comfort shared that she struggled to regain her footing and rebuild her life. Without the strength, resources, or support to continue farming on her own, Comfort came to Girl Power Africa seeking help to return to what she knew best. Through Girl Power Africa, she was empowered with farming tools and placed in a strong team of women who now work together, support one another, and farm collectively. Comfort has never had the opportunity to attend school, and her greatest hope is to ensure that her children receive an education she never had. She is deeply grateful for the opportunity to farm again, to work alongside other women as a support system, and to build a better future for her children.
