November 2025:  Amelia is a 41-year-old single mother of two children. To support her family, she has spent years weeding gardens and farms for other people, earning as little as $1 per day for a full day’s work. Despite her hard work, it has been extremely difficult to provide consistently for her children. Amelia owns a small piece of land but lacked the tools and materials to farm it herself. She came to Grow Power Africa seeking assistance to start producing on her own land. Through the program, Amelia was empowered with the farming materials she needed and connected with a team of women who work together, share the labor, and produce crops collectively. Amelia’s greatest dream is to send her children to school regularly, giving them an education she could not have. She is deeply grateful for the opportunity to farm independently, work alongside other women, and create a brighter future for her family.
