October 2019: Thanks to the generous donation from Lisa and Mia VanderMause, Mary has been re-enrolled into school for the 2019-2020 school year. 

June 2019: We are pleased to announce that Mary was promoted to the 2nd grade for the 2018-2019 school year. Lisa & Mia, thank you for your sponsorship and giving your student a gift of education through Girl Power Africa.

2018:  Meet Mary, who has been generously sponsored by Lisa and Mai VanderMause. She is 11 years old and in the 1st grade this year. Mary lives in Seclepea , Liberia with her mother who has 4 children and  could not afford to send her to school on a regular basis.  Her interests are helping her mother take care of her brothers and sisters. She hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
