2018:  Meet Kou Gono, who has been generously sponsored by an anonymous donor (cw).  She is 14 years old and in the kindergarten2 this year. Kou lives in Gehwee, Liberia with her her mother. Last year Kou was kicked out of school for lack of uniform and tuition payment. Worried that she may not be able to go to school this, Kou walked about 10 miles to come to Girl Power Africa for assistance to  help her to go to school this year.  About a year ago, Comfort’s father’s small business was burglarized and the father was almost killed by the thieves as the attacked him with a machetes in front of the family. Since then, the family have not been able to restart their business and therefore cannot afford to send their 6 children to school. Comfort hopes to be a doctor when she grows up to help her family.
