September 2020: Thanks to the generous donation from Amanda Freiberg, Alex has been re-enrolled into school for the 2020/2021 school year. He is in the 7th grade this year and still wants to be a representative when he grows up. He continues to live with his parents.

October 2019: Thanks to the generous donation from Amanda Freiberg, Alex has been re-enrolled into school for the 2019-2020 school year. 

June 2019: We are pleased to announce that Alex was promoted to the 6th grade for the 2018-2019 school year. Amanda, thank you for your sponsorship and giving your student a gift of education through Girl Power Africa.

2018:  Meet Alex, who has been generously sponsored by Amanda Freiberg Marek.  He is 15 years old and in the 5th grade this year. He lives in Sanniquellie, Liberia with his parents. Alex was given to a family in a far away town for an opportunity to go to school, as his disabled father and unemployed mother could not afford to send him to school. Due to physical and mental abuse, he ran away and came back to his parents. Alex came to Girl Power for assistance to enroll him into school. His interests are helping his parents and he hopes to be a representative when he grows up.
