September 2021: Thanks to the generous donation from Joyce Jorgensen, Vero has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the 2nd grade this year and still wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She continues to live with her mother.
September 2020– Thanks to the generous donation from Joyce Jorgensen, Vero has been re-enrolled into school for the 2020/2021 school year. She is in the 1st grade this year and still wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She continues to live with her mother. (Please Note: Vero was out of town on the day of the 2020-2021 school distribution. Her materials were left with the school authorities).
2019: Meet Vero, who has been generously sponsored by Tina Yeomans. She is 12 years old and is in the K2 this year. Vero lives in Sanniquellie, Liberia with her single mother. Vero is a former student of Girl Power Africa. Due to financial constraints, her mother had sent her to her uncle in Guinea for a better opportunity. Unfortunatly, the uncle could not afford to send Vero to school. After 2 years of not going to school, her mother had brought Vero back to Sannequillie and had brought her to Girl Power to please assist her to enroll her into school. Vero hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
