REBECCA: S215-SAN

November

2023

Rebecca has achieved a significant milestone by advancing to the third grade! Her progress is not only evident academically but also in her growing confidence. She now speaks with increased volume, displaying a newfound sense of assurance. Rebecca takes pleasure in her learning journey and eagerly attends school.

Despite her evolving confidence, Rebecca’s dream of becoming a teacher remains unchanged. She continues to reside with her mother, supported by her unwavering determination, Girl Power Africa, and the love of her family. Rebecca moves closer to realizing her aspirations and making a positive impact in her community.

Rebecca was proud to finally make it to the second grade! It was a longer route than most, but she’s learned some great lessons on the journey. She has been re-enrolled into school for the 2022/2023 school year.  Her favorite subject is social studies, and she still hopes to be a teacher one day.  Rebecca continues to live with her mother. Meet Rebecca “RB,” who has been generously sponsored by Eeyore. She is 8 years old and in the Kindergarten-2 grade this year. RB lives in Sanniquellie, Liberia with her mother. Since the death of RB’s father in 2018, her mother has been working as a domestic worker making about $25 a month to support her and her 4 children. RB and her siblings have been unable to go to school on a regular basis. She hopes to be a teacher when she grows up.
