January 2024: Mamie is a thirty six year old single mother raising five children.  She makes a living through subsistence farming and dreams of being able to sustain her children’s school enrollment.  Providing a daily meal for her family is a daunting task on a subsistence farming budget, and keeping her children in school can appear unrealistic for women like Mamie.  Mamie was awarded a business development grant and is one step closer to fulfilling her dream of improving her financial situation.
