Gracious is 9 years old and is in the 2nd grade. She lives with her disabled single mother and her 3 siblings. Since her mother is unable to work and support the family, Gracious takes on significant responsibilities. Every morning before school, she fetches about 5 gallons of water to leave with her mother and younger siblings. After school, she retrieves another 8 gallons of water to help her mom cook for the family. Gracious hopes to become a teacher when she grows up. Sponsored by:
