January 2024: Betty is a thirty-four-year-old single mother providing for her four children through subsistence farming.  Her husband abandoned her during a protracted illness that rendered her unable to help with the subsistence farming activities.  Betty was forced to muster the strength to step out of her sick bed to provide for her family.  Her resilience is remarkable, and she was granted a farming supplies package to expand her farming enterprise.
