2017: RECIPIENT – Zolie – Age 40

Zolie’s husband, the only bread winner in their family, suddenly died about 2.5 years ago. Zolie, who was unemployed at the time of her husband’s death (and still is), was left with 4 young children. During the fall school drive, Girl Power was able to send 3 of Zolie’s 4 children to school and we had promised her that we’ll be back to empower her with her very own business to help sustain she and her children. Thanks to the generous of Tracy Holland, that promise has become a reality.
